NBIA Seminar: Kenny Ng

The sun emits high energy particles (gamma rays, neutrinos, etc) due to it being constantly bombarded by cosmic rays. These high-energy messengers could be a new probe of the Sun, and are important backgrounds for searches of new physics with the the Sun. I will review the current observational and theoretical understandings of these messengers, and potential new developments in the near future.
