Title: Classical higher-spin scattering and two-body Hamiltonians in the post-Minkowskian expansion

Abstract:

In the appropriate classical limit, scattering amplitude-based techniques can yield the classical interaction of massive bodies at fixed order in the post-Minkowskian expansion and expose hidden structures of its observables.

In this talk we review a framework for the construction of the two-body  Hamiltonian for compact spinning binary systems and a conjectured all-order relation between its open-orbit observables and the eikonal phase of the scattering amplitude. We also discuss aspects and features of observables in the presence of tidal deformations.
