Abstract: After giving a brief outline of p-adic numbers, I plan to discuss features of field theory on these numbers, how the numbers can be viewed as the boundary of the Bruhah-Tits tree, the connection to AdS/CFT relating the Poincare disc to its boundary, and Mellin amplitudes. Time permitting, I may provide an overview of quadratic extensions of the p-adic numbers in relation to fermions.
