Title: Holographic magnetisation density waves

Abstract: The AdS/CFT correspondence is a very powerful tool for studying strongly coupled CFTs at finite temperature, commonly found in condensed matter physics. Focusing on such systems in the presence of an external magnetic field, certain holographic models are known to exhibit spontaneous breaking of translational invariance resulting in an inhomogeneous phase. In this talk, I will present results on the construction of novel black hole solutions dual to a holographic magnetisation density wave phase and I will discuss some of their properties.
