Peter Krogstrup appointed assistant professor at QDev on nanowire growth

Peter KrogstrupAs of May 2013, Peter Krogstrup has been appointed assistant professor at the Center for Quantum Devices. He will be working on MBE growth of nanowires.

Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) growth of semiconductor nanowires is essential for the fabrication process of creating novel nano-electronic devices, to explore the wide range of quantum properties these materials have to offer. Peter performed his PhD thesis at Copenhagen University titled Dynamical Theory and Experiments on GaAs Nanowire Growth for Photovoltaic Applications.

Next to physics, Peter's passion is music. He is an experienced guitarist, and has attended Thames Valley University where he has been voted the Guitar Player of the Year.
