2006 Pictures

Jacob, Brian and Eugene behind the setup and illuminated by the green light from the Verdi laser.
A view of the setup: In the front is the green Verdi laser which is frequency doubled in order to generate the probing light at 852nm. In the bacground towards the right are the two shielded cylinders which contain the Caesium vapour cells used for the experiment.
A view from the other side of the optical table.
A closer view on the magnetic shielding, which consist of several concentric cylindric layers of mu-metal. In the centre the Caesium cell is seen with the RF-coils wound around it.
An even closer look at one of the cells, while it has been pulled out of the cylindrical shielding.
