Abstract

The Water Cycle on Mars

From past, present and upcoming missions to Mars, a wealth of data has been obtained and will continue to be collected for many years to come.

This enables us to increase our understanding of the red planet and also learn more about our own.

In this thesis data analysis and model studies of the seasonal cycle of water vapour on Mars will be presented.

The current state of the north polar ice cap is assessed with a model based on the seasonal mass balance of the ice cap.
