Borrow from the library's own collection:
The library is not always manned and is primarily self-service, but if the staff is present please refer to Lisbeth or Kader for assistance.
How to borrow books:
-
You can ask the library staff to check out the book to you.
-
Check out the book in the self-checkout PC - see how here >>
-
Register your loan on a lending form - see how here >>
Borrow from other libraries:
Should you not find the book you are looking for at NBI's library, you can request that it be ordered for you. You do this by either:
-
Contacting the librarian with your request, or
-
Sending an email to ahmad@nbi.dk or dilling@nbi.dk providing us with the author, title and year of publication.
-
It can take from 3-7 days for the book to arrive.
Lending periods:
NBI's own books:
- The lending period is 1 month and can be renewed 2 times.
- When the lending period is about to end you will receive a reminder from the Royal Library to return the book.
- It is important that you either return the book promptly or send an email to us stating that you would like to have the loan extended.
If you do not respond after 2 overdue notices you will receive a replacement bill for the book. The bill is to be paid to the Royal Library.
Loans from other libraries:
- The lending period is 1 month. You will receive a reminder by email from the Niels Bohr Institute Library.
- Here it also important that you respond promptly and deliver the book as quickly as possible.
- If you do not respond you will receive a replacement bill for the book. The bill is to be paid to the Niels Bohr Institute Library.
Biblioteket er ikke bemandet hele tiden, og fungerer fortrinsvis med selvbetjening, men hvis personalet er tilstede, så henvend dig til Lisbeth eller Kader for assistance.
