Single-molecule studies of synaptic vesicles

This presentation will describe work in our lab where we use single-molecule imaging to study the composition and dynamics of synaptic vesicles. I will present a quantitative microscopy tools we developed for counting the copy number of proteins on synaptic vesicles, followed by some surprising findings of the behavior of isolated synaptic vesicles. I will also describe our recent work that aims to study the activity of transporters on synaptic vesicles.
