Deep ice coring project at Dome Fuji, East Antarctica

Two deep ice cores were drilled at Dome Fuji, East Antarctica by the
Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition teams. The first and second cores
were drilled down to 2403m and 3035m, respectively. The second core goes
back to 700 ka BP. I will introduce brief history of the
Dome Fuji drilling and discuss the climatic and environmental
changes recorded at Dome Fuji.
