BEC Group Meeting
"Dynamics of atoms from molecular dissociation" by Magnus Ogren

I will present some work in progress on dissociation of a molecular BEC (MBEC) into pairs of atoms, which can be either bosons or fermions. One of the purposes of this project is to obtain experimentally measurable results, and in this part I will focus on the role of the shape of the MBEC in determining the atomic momentum correlations. Another purpose is to use the dissociation Hamiltonian as a testing ground for different computational methods, for the quantum dynamics of (especially) fermionic atoms. In this part I present methods, ranging from Fermi's golden rule to new (and old) first principle methods, and comment on their advantages and disadvantages.
