Postdoc in Experimental Quantum Transport

The Center for Quantum Devices is a basic research center supported by the Danish National Research Foundation, comprising materials research, experimental physics, nanoelectronics and condensed matter theory. 
The Center for Quantum Devices (QDev) is seeking applications for a postdoctoral fellowship for the experimental studies of hybrid quantum devices such as semiconductor quantum dots and wires combined with superconducting elements. The project will be an integral part of QDev’s activities within quantum devices, with prospects for systems for solid state quantum information. The research involves nanofabrication, cryogenic transport experiments using dilution refrigerators, data analysis, interaction with theoretical physicists and materials scientists, and supervision of students.  The candidate should have a PhD in experimental physics or related disciplines, extensive experience in nanofabrication and cryogenic quantum transport measurements.

Terms of employment:

  • The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.  

  • Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.  

 
The starting salary is currently up to DKK 419.772 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 71.781). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
